University of Wales, Newport

The University of Wales Newport comprises 2 Faculties – the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Arts & Business. Arts & Business is made up of 3 Schools, including Business; Design, Engineering Fashion & Technology, and Film, Photography and Digital Media.

Design at Newport  is a flourishing area, with both Fashion and Advertising graduates securing excellent work placements and graduate jobs including as trainee buyers for high street chains (Fashion Design) and roles with design firms based in London and Sydney (Advertising Design). The emphasis on employability is further enhanced by live briefs for students, enabling them to work on real campaigns, and involvement in careers events such as Creative Futures, a recent University event set-up to support students and graduates.
