RIVER ISLAND – Fashion from a Different Perspective
River Island is delighted to be sponsoring Graduate Fashion Week for its fourth consecutive year.
We are committed to bringing new and original fashion to the high street, design is at the heart of everything we do, and we like to do it differently. Our 80 strong design teams are constantly producing new lines that are rolled out to over 235 stores on a weekly basis. This makes River Island a fast paced and exciting place to work; and that is why our partnership with Graduate Fashion Week is so successful. With some of the UK’s newest and most talented students showcasing portfolio collections it is the perfect scouting ground for River Island and allows us to provide students with great opportunities to learn and develop. Over the last three years we have employed over 20 graduates as a direct result of their involvement with Graduate Fashion Week.
"We are delighted to be title sponsors of Graduate Fashion Week for our fourth year running.
I have watched the event grow in stature every year and Graduate Fashion Week has now become THE platform for fresh new British talent to showcase their collections to the fashion industry.
Design has always been at the core to River Island which is why it is so important to support the organization and universities involved in growing and developing innovative and creative students. This sponsorship allows us to give students a spring board to start their careers, whilst allowing us the opportunity to source talent for all areas of our own business."
Richard Bradbury, Managing Director, River Island
The culmination of the four days of Graduate Fashion Week is the prestigious Gala Show where the most outstanding collection is awarded the River Island Gold Award. The lucky winner will receive an impressive £20,000 prize and this is the only Award of its kind within UK fashion education.
